Cyber Security Analyst

Salary Range: $2,000-$3,000 / month

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity events, including network events, OS logs, and forensic data.
  • Conduct forensic data interpretation and eDiscovery tasks.
  • Lead investigations and manage small projects independently.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct investigations and respond to cyber incidents.
  • Monitor security feeds and dashboards for anomalies and potential threats.
  • Analyze security logs and events to identify and investigate suspicious activities.
  • Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Configure and maintain security tools and technologies.
  • Generate reports and presentations on security incidents and trends.
  • Work with security and IT teams to enhance overall security posture.
  • Continuously learn and explore new security methodologies and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical expertise in security solutions, including Windows, Linux, networking, security architecture, packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic, firewalls, proxies, cloud solutions, anti-virus, and malware analysis.
  • Proven experience in handling security incidents and incident response.
  • Familiarity with SIEM and log correlation tools.
  • Strong decision-making skills for remediation and countermeasures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and take proactive measures.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
