Cyber Security Engineer
Salary Range: $2,800-$3,800 / month
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity events including network events, OS logs, and forensic data.
- Conduct forensic data interpretation and eDiscovery tasks.
- Lead investigations and small projects independently.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct investigations, review plans and procedures, and respond to cyber incidents.
- Monitor security feeds and dashboards for anomalies and potential threats.
- Analyze security logs and events to identify and investigate suspicious activity.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Assist in incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Configure and maintain security tools and technologies.
- Generate reports and presentations on security incidents and trends.
- Work with security team members and IT professionals to enhance the security posture.
- Continuously explore and learn new security methodologies and technologies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Technical expertise in security solutions and technologies, including Windows Linux,
- Networking, Security Architecture, packet flow/TCP/YDP traffic, firewalls, proxies, cloud
- solutions, anti-virus, and malware analysis.
- Proven experience in handling security incidents and incident response at all levels.
- Familiarity with SIEM and log correlation tools.
- Strong decision-making skills for remediation and countermeasures.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized, self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Ability to anticipate problems and take proactive measures.
- Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage concurrent activities with varying priorities.
