Ruby on Rails Developer
Salary Range: $3,500-$5,000 / month
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, implement, and manage business entitlements and back-end interfaces with third-party systems.
- Conduct systems analysis, providing recommendations and assessments to improve performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot, resolve issues, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system security.
- Design and document configurations, maintenance procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical support to relevant teams.
- Stay informed about technology trends and apply that knowledge to API application development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and common libraries such as RSPec and Resque.
- Strong understanding of Ruby syntax and its nuances.
- Solid grasp of object-oriented programming and server-side templating languages such as Liquid, Slim.
- Familiarity with server-side CSS preprocessors based on the project needs.
- Basic knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Proficient in concepts like MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful design.
- Skill in writing clean, readable Ruby code and integrating multiple data sources into a single system.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
- Ability to create database schemas that align with business processes.
- Experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Proficient with code versioning tools (e.g., Git, Mercurial, SVN).
- Familiarity with development tools (e.g., Bower, Bundler, Rake) and continuous integration practices.
