Systems Engineer
Salary Range: $2,500-$3,500 / month
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, installation, and maintenance of networking and computing infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Identify and implement the most effective technological solutions by leveraging a broad understanding of available tools and technologies.
- Continuously monitor systems within the network to prevent productivity setbacks and ensure smooth operations.
- Install and configure operating systems, application software, and essential system components.
- Apply best practices for system security, data protection, and backup procedures to safeguard organizational assets.
- Anticipate potential system issues or bottlenecks, proactively identifying and implementing solutions.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with IT support staff to ensure seamless system setup and ongoing maintenance.
- Liaise with vendors, keeping relevant stakeholders informed about system developments and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting activities, and provide regular reports to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
- Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server and UNIX/Linux environments.
- Strong background in managing both cloud and on-premises infrastructure, with experience collaborating with development teams.
- Microsoft and Azure certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, handling multiple tasks and troubleshooting complex issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
